Description

This Punto Evo is Djwpk’s daily driver. With over 265k kilometers on the odometer, it's already had quite the life experience. Bought in 2023 as a fully original car, the first major modification was the installation of a front Anti-Roll-Bar, something the 1.2l models lacked from the factory. During the installation it was found that the springs and dampers were past their prime. DJWKP took this as an opportunity to install Novitec 30mm lowering springs allround, with damping being provided by TRW Sport Dampers up front and Bilstein B4 Dampers at the rear.

With the car already in the shop, it received a comprehensive service. The clutch and pressure plate were replaced, along with the master and slave cylinders of the hydraulic clutch. New brakes were installed all around, an original 1.4l spec exhaust system (with increased inner diameter) was fitted, and a K&N air filter was installed. Furthermore the car has been updated with a modern entertainment system, ensuring that despite its age, it remains a practical and enjoyable daily driver.

All in all the humble Fiat Punto Evo has been transformed into a reliable and slightly sportier version of itself. This car stands as a testament to the passion and dedication of its owner, who has invested time and effort to ensure it not only stays on the road but does so with enhanced style and a lot more fun.
