Description
Joining Thomas' Saxo on track, this Peugeot 106 dubbed ''De Pejo'', is owned by WORKS-R members Ruben and Giovanny.
The car has been built up to be an affordable track car able to churn out lap after lap. Modifications include a set of extremely lightweight C5 Composite wheels, fully stripped interior with bucket seats and complimentary set of sensors and gauges to monitor the engine's condition on track.
Future plans include a bigger radiator to allow for continuous high stress operation without overheating. What's more a 1.6l 16v swap is also being considered as viable solution to reliably and significantly increase power output as opposed to modifying the current 1.4 8v engine.
Further approach to modifying is done in a true tuning mindset. Drive the car and see what is needed to improve lap times. An exceptionally efficient way to improve a car that will ultimately lead to the best possible iteration.
